For those wondering, you can get by the tentacles at 50:41 without grenades. It takes some trial and error, but they lose you and stop attacking if you crouch walk. You can crouch walk up to the ladders so they wont know where you are and then only uncrouch to climb. Uncrouching will get them to detect you again, but you can just wait on the stairs or move quick enough past them that they lose track of you.

Remember getting this game from VideoEzy here in Melbourne, Australia. Was 11 years old, and my dad took me there on the weekend to get it, got home, finished it that very day. Remember still coming out of my bedroom and saying "well I finished the game", and he goes "what?! already?!". Remember playing it with the blinds closed, dark room, door closed.
